Our first field trip was a success!

 

1st, 2nd and 3rd grade GATE students really enjoyed learning about local plants and animals at the Museum of Science and History!  Students learned about the types of plants that grow well in hot, dry climates and how animals use their adaptations to survive in south Texas.  They even had the opportunity to pet a real snake and tortoise! I was really impressed with the questions our students asked and the answers they gave.
